How to Manage Multiple Domains in HubSpot on Free, Starter, and Pro Plans
Working with multiple domains or business units in HubSpot is natively an Enterprise feature — especially when it comes to separate brand domains and fully segmented reporting. However, that doesn't mean there are no workarounds for Pro, Starter, and Free plans. With some planning and best practices, you can manage multiple domains effectively.
1. Can I use HubSpot live chat and chatflows on multiple domains?
✅ Yes, you can install the HubSpot chat widget across multiple domains.
Go to Settings > Tracking & Analytics > Tracking code, copy the code, and add it to each site.
All domains will share the same chat inbox and chatflows.
Use chatflow targeting rules to show specific messages per URL or domain.
Free plan: Basic chat features with HubSpot branding.
Starter & Pro: Remove branding, gain access to custom targeting, advanced styling, and automation.
Tip: Create chatflows that conditionally trigger based on domain or subfolder by setting precise URL rules.
Best Practice Recommendation: While HubSpot uses a shared inbox, you can create inbox views and use conversation filters (based on chatflow, source URL, or assigned team) to help segregate conversations per domain or business unit for easier management.
2. Can I embed HubSpot forms on multiple domains?
✅ Yes, HubSpot forms can be embedded on any website.
Copy the form embed code and place it on any domain.
Submissions from all domains are centralized in your HubSpot CRM.
Unlimited use across domains on Free, Starter, and Pro.
Starter & Pro: Unlock progressive fields, conditional logic, and smart forms.
Best Practice Recommendation: If you’re using forms across multiple domains or business units, implement a clear tracking structure:
Create a custom property in HubSpot called Business Unit or Source Website, preferably as a multiple checkbox or dropdown property.
Add a hidden field to each form and prefill it at the form creation stage with the value that matches the domain or business unit.
This will make filtering submissions by domain or business unit in your CRM and reports effortless.
3. Can I use the HubSpot tracking code on multiple domains?
✅ Yes, you can place the HubSpot tracking code on multiple domains.
Install the same tracking code across multiple domains.
By default, traffic is aggregated in analytics.
You can filter reports by domain using the Page URL dimension.
It’s easier to filter if your domains use different structures for URLs (e.g.,
domain1.com/solutions/
vs.domain2.com/services/
)Starter & Pro: Manual segmentation possible.
Enterprise: Native multi-domain analytics and automatic traffic separation.
4. Can I add multiple email sending domains in HubSpot?
✅ Yes, multiple sending domains can be configured.
Add them under Settings > Domains & URLs > Email Sending.
You can send marketing emails from all verified domains without restrictions.
Free, Starter, & Pro: Fully supported.
Enterprise: Allows assigning specific brand domains to marketing assets, templates, and analytics.
